Hi, I’m David Krier, owner of DAK Construction. I’ve always had a passion for building and have over 30 years of experience within the construction industry. I’m a person who likes to get things done and done the right way while maintaining my strong core values of honesty and integrity. Over the years, I’ve built a strong reputation in Colorado’s commercial industry based on these core values. Before starting DAK Construction, I discovered through friends, family and neighbors that residential general contracting is lacking some of these principals as well as the knowledge of proper planning, budgeting, scheduling and communication that the commercial industry has, I want to see that change.

In my college years I learned the hands-on skills of building while working in residential construction before graduating from Arizona State University in 1997 with a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. Since graduating I’ve worked for several large commercial contractors on projects from renovations to large scale ground up work and successfully managed jobs that ranged from $5,000 to over 110 million dollars.

My experience with managing subcontractors, budgeting, maintaining a schedule and client centered relations is something I strive to bring to every job. There are lots of moving parts when it comes to building. At DAK Construction, we promise to keep our clients informed throughout the entire process of their project. This includes cost options to work within your budget, accurate proposals, weekly updates of scheduling and what is planned to happen in their home over the course of the project.

My job is to take the stress away from the homeowner and keep them informed while minimizing interruptions to daily life as much as possible. We understand that most often clients are living in their home during the construction process, and we will actively work to minimize those interruptions to your home life as much as possible.
